Back porch thinking

Having coffee early in the moring on the back porch and remembering the sayings of days gone by.  For example cooter hull, haints, poon taine, carne, foot feed, to reckly, fixing to, just to name a few.  If you remember these days, let me know if you remember what these words mean.  I thought it might be fun to see how many you get right.  I'll give the answers next time, unless you already have them figured out.

  1. I still say "fixing to" means I am getting ready! thelmadot

  2. Are we telling our age if we say we remember?! I know what haints and to reckly mean; and I'm afraid I still use "fixin' to".
